About Our School
Collège des Frères – Bethlehem has been a leading Palestinian educational institution in Bethlehem for 132 years, serving students regardless of religious affiliation or national identity.
Founded in 1891 by the La Salle Brothers — a Catholic teaching order dedicated to education — the school was established to provide quality education for children in Palestine, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. More than a century later, the Lasallian commitment to academic excellence, accessibility, and service to the poor remains the cornerstone of Collège des Frères – Bethlehem.
Today, the school serves 1,086 students and employs 110 qualified academic and administrative staff members, making it one of the most established and impactful educational institutions in the Bethlehem area.
Throughout the decades, Collège des Frères – Bethlehem has worked closely with families and the local community to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, ethical values, and confidence necessary to realize their full potential and actively contribute to society. The school is proud of its distinguished alumni, many of whom have become respected leaders in medicine, business, science, arts, public service, and academia — both locally and internationally.
In the year 2000, Collège des Frères – Bethlehem transitioned to a co-educational system, welcoming both male and female students and reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and modern education.
