On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the Educational Eco-Garden was inaugurated at Frere School in a ceremony attended by Principal Mrs. Ekhlas Bannoura, Mr. Mohammad Faroukh, Director-General of the Office of Education, Mr. Mohammad Asakra, Head of the General Education Office, Frere Daoud Kassabrey, Principal of Frere School New Gate in Jerusalem, Mrs. Rima Qaraqa, South Region Director for Individuals at Bank of Palestine, Mr. Ramzi Abu Salem, Manager of Bank of Palestine Bethlehem Branch, Mrs. Ikram Qatoush, representative of the Creative Recycling Educational Center, and Mr. Ahmad Al-Hawarin, Director of the South Region Road Safety Patrols.
The inauguration began with the Palestinian national anthem played by Maestro Ibrahim Khair. Brother Daoud Kassabrey then offered a blessing and a brief prayer, followed by Principal Mrs. Ekhlas Bannoura, who highlighted the significance of this unique eco-garden and its high educational and environmental value. Mrs. Rima Qaraqa spoke about the strong partnership between Bank of Palestine and Frere School, and Mr. Mohammad Faroukh, Director of Education, expressed his delight in being among the attendees and emphasized the rich history of Frere School in both academic and extracurricular fields.
The event concluded with a tour of the garden, where the attendees enjoyed the atmosphere and admired this exceptional accomplishment.
