The Bethlehem Directorate of Education recently celebrated the achievement of Qais Awad, an eighth-grade student at our school, Frères Secondary School. Qais was awarded the silver medal for securing second place in the Arab Mathematics and Logic Games Championship, an event overseen by the Directorate’s Department of Creativity, Excellence, and Achievement.​

During the ceremony, Mr. Mohammad Al-Faroukh, Director General of Education, presented Qais with the silver medal. He also conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Amjad Barham, to Qais, his family, and the administrative and teaching staff of Frères School. Mr. Al-Faroukh commended Qais’s active and outstanding participation in the competition, which is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, under the supervision of the General Administration for Creativity, Excellence, and Achievement, and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO).​

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Kholoud Daras, Head of the Department of Creativity, Excellence, and Achievement; Ms. Ikhlas Banoura, Principal of Frères Secondary School; Ms. Nadine Issa, Mathematics Supervisor from the School Education Department; Ms. Amira Anastas, Qais’s mathematics teacher; and members of Qais’s family.​

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Qais for his remarkable accomplishment and express our gratitude to all those who supported him on this journey.
