On Saturday, May 17, 2025, Collège des Frères – Bethlehem held the graduation ceremony for its 12th-grade students from the three streams: Scientific, Literary, and GCE, under the class name “Hope of the Nation”.

The ceremony began with the entrance of the graduates’ procession, led by Principal Ms. Ekhlas Bannoura, Mr. George Naber, Brother Daoud Kassabreh, and several members of the Lasallian fraternity, accompanied by the Palestinian national anthem, performed by the De La Salle Scout Band.

Following this, student Julian Kharoufeh read from the Holy Gospel. Then, the top graduating students passed the torch to 11th-grade students: Lamar Abu Taha (Scientific Stream) handed it to Mousa Hamed, Julian Karoufeh to Saqer Al-Jarashi, and Alex Ghattas (GCE Stream) to Christina Abu Ghattas.

Principal Ms. Ekhlas Bannoura delivered a heartfelt speech expressing her pride in the graduating class named “Hope of the Nation.” She highlighted that these students represent the hope and future of Palestine, and reflected on the various educational and extracurricular activities conducted throughout the school year.

The De La Salle Band, conducted by Maestro Ibrahim Khair, performed a musical piece. Afterwards, student Ghazal Srarsarah gave the Arabic language speech accompanied by Ayham Aboudiyeh, Elias Thaljieh delivered the English speech alongside Layan Jobran, and Leen Najajreh and Lamar Khleif delivered the French speech.

A bouquet of flowers was then presented to Mr. Maher Qanawati, Mayor of Bethlehem, in appreciation of his presence. The school also honored its supporters and partner companies with shields of recognition, and awarded gifts to the top-performing students.

Mr. Walid Nasr received a special appreciation shield for his outstanding efforts in teaching mathematics. The names of the graduates were then announced by Ms. Mayson Al-Sous (Scientific Stream), Ms. Safaa Abu Aita (Literary Stream), and Ms. Aziza Bardawil (GCE Stream).

In an atmosphere full of joy and pride, families and guests congratulated the graduates and wished them a bright and promising future.
