In the presence of Mr. George Nabber, Coordinator of the Frères Schools in the Holy Land and Jordan, Collège des Frères – Bethlehem celebrated the graduation of a cohort of 27 teachers who successfully completed the Lasallian Formation Program under the theme:
“For Inner Transformation and Rooting in the Mission.”

The ceremony began with inspiring words from the Lasallian Educator’s Hall, where a reflective prayer was shared:
“O Lord, grant me the spirit of discernment in my own conduct and that of my students, so that I may focus my work in the school on the child and on preparing them for life—not on fame or performance.”

In his address, Mr. George Nabber emphasized the importance of this formation, stating:
“Each one of us is a Frère, carrying the values, responsibility, and mission of the Lasallian spirit.”

School principal Ms. Ekhlas Bannoura expressed her gratitude to all attendees and affirmed that the continuity of the Lasallian mission for over 300 years is a living testament to the depth and truth of this educational faith.

The Lasallian committee overseeing the program included:
• Principal Ekhlas Bannoura
• Ms. Marlene Bandak
• Ms. Nibal Thaljieh
• Ms. Maha Sarras

At the conclusion of the gathering, Ms. Marlene Bandak gave a thoughtful presentation on “Personal Transformation in the Life of Saint John Baptist de La Salle,” focusing on the pivotal moment that changed his path: his deep understanding of poverty through his awareness of the needs of others, particularly the needs of children.

Along with Ms. Maha Sarras, she emphasized that poverty is not limited to material aspects—it extends to poverty in intellect, education, culture, and values, making Saint La Salle’s mission a renewed call to meet these needs with compassion and educational purpose.

Certificates were then awarded to the graduates by:
• Mr. George Nabber
• Principal Ikhlas Bannoura
• and Ms. Marlene Bandak

This celebration reflects the school’s continued commitment to the Lasallian educational mission, guided by faith, respect, and a deep dedication to the student and to humanity.
